Grow Somerset Talent Awards sees HOST Kitchen Steward, Liam Dale awarded ‘Traineeship of the Year’.
Grow Somerset Talent Awards is a successful annual campaign undertaken by a group of Somerset colleges, other training providers and the NAS to celebrate Apprenticeships, Traineeships and employers.
Supported Traineeships give young people with additional needs an equal opportunity to shine in a work setting, helping them to overcome potential barriers to working.
Many applications were received for the award, and both Liam Dale and Molly Williams, who also completed her traineeship with, and now also works for HOST 2 Ltd, were notified they had become finalists for ‘Trainee of the Year’.
It wasn’t until the Awards Ceremony held last Friday that Liam was finally announced as the winner of this category and proudly took the title of ‘Trainee of the Year’ due to his dedication, determination and enthusiasm. Liam was thrilled with the title and as he took to the stage, enthused ‘I’ll remember this moment for the rest of my life’.
HOST Chairman, Kevin McCarthy was equally as thrilled saying ‘This is a fantastic achievement for Liam, he is a driven individual who considers the HOST team to be his second family. At HOST we endeavour to promote equality and inclusivity and as such have recently been recognised with a Disability Confident Committed Award’.
